XIOMARA “XIO” BERNARD
GHOST/FIRST PLAYER/ CAPTAIN - XIOMARA “XIO” BERNARD (She/He/They)
Born and raised in Philadelphia, P.A., Bernar is the daughter of a former Cuban refugee and a former Cuban political prisoner. Bernard grew up taking lessons in piano and ballet, but acting was always the career that took precedence inside her heart.
Bernard is mostly known in the independent film community. She has worked on short films, one of them being "April's Way", which has gone to Cannes, music videos, voice-overs, plays, and feature films, including Brielle Brilliant's feature film "Firstness", which won the Grand Jury Prize Award at the Outfest Film Festival. "Firstness" is currently streaming on Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime. In between working for other visionaries, Bernard runs a production company, Theophilus Films. Two of the company's short films, "Night" and "Poison", have gone to local and international festivals. The company's third film, "Blackout", is currently in post-production.

KAITE BRANDT
OPHELIA - KAITE BRANDT (She/They)
Kaite is an actor, director, dramaturg, teacher, and text coach. Recent productions include Twelfth Night, The Winter's Tale, The Tempest, Love and Information, Everybody, Hamlet, Measure for Measure (Antaeus); King Lear (Radically Miscast Shakespeare- The Porters of Hellsgate); Julius Caesar, The Women of Shakespeare (Warriors for Peace); Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Love's Labour's Lost (Sierra Madre Shakespeare Festival); Love's Labour's Lost (Chase What Flies); Much Ado About Nothing (The Unlikely Shakespeare Company); Taming of the Shrew, Twelfth Night (Southern Bard); Much Ado About Nothing (the 6th Act); Troilus and Cressida (Ad Astra/Staring Straight Productions). For her next project, Kaite is directing the upcoming staged reading of Merchant of Venice for the Porters of Hellsgate.

SHANNON LEE CLAIR
HAMLET 3 - SHANNON LEE CLAIR (She/Her)
Shannon Lee Clair has performed at L.A.T.W., La Mirada Theatre, The Antaeus Company, Will Geer Theatricum, EST/LA, MainStreet Theatre, New Canon Theatre Company (Monterey), Book-It Rep (Seattle), and Harlequin Productions (Olympia), among others. Indie film credits include When You Sleep (in post-production) and The Dangle (Best Short: California International Film Festival). As a writer, Shannon has been a Top 50 List-Semifinalist in the Nicholl Screenwriting Competition and a Finalist for fellowships with Stowe Story Labs. An avid outdoorswoman, she has hiked and backpacked hundreds of miles and, thanks to her tall ship sailing experience, holds a Merchant Marine license from the U.S. Coast Guard. Education: Princeton University and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

KRISHA DEAVER
HAMLET1 - KRISHA DEAVER (She/Her)
Krisha Deaver (she/her) has long felt kinship to Hamlet's grief and is grateful to Emily Asher Kellis for this unique opportunity to play the character. Recent performances include The Seagull (Polina) with Salt Lake City's Sting and Honey Company and one-act plays at LA's Brisk Festival, including Helga's Wonderful Life (which she wrote and performed) and Brownie Husband (which she wrote and performed with her husband, Cam Deaver). Recent training includes Shakespeare and Company (Massachusetts), Antaeus, Paola Coletto, Larry Moss, and The Actors' Gang. She also works as a speaker, writer, and educational consultant. She sends infinite gratitude to Cam for all his incredible support.

ELIZABETH DENNEHY
QUEEN - ELIZABETH DENNEHY (She/Her)
Elizabeth Dennehy (she/her) originally from New York, studied at Hofstra University, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, and Shakespeare’s Globe Teaching
Shakespeare program in London. She is a theatre educator with a focus on Shakespeare, mostrecently at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. She serves on the boards of the LACHSA Foundation and Independent Shakespeare Co.Theatre: Deirdre in The Humans at San Diego Rep, Hostess Quickly in Henry 4.1 at Antaeus Theatre Co, Chrissy in Dancing at Lughnasa, and Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire at South Coast Rep, Cyrano with Frank Langella at Williamstown Theatre Festival, Audrey in As You Like It at Shakespeare & Co, Henry 5 at The New York Shakespeare Festival with Kevin
Kline, Opera Comique at The Kennedy Center, is an original creator and cast member of Tony and Tina’s Wedding, and performed with Charles Busch in Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. Elizabeth directs the annual Bloomsday celebration of James
Joyce’s Ulysses at the Hammer Museum. Screen credits include: Hancock, Red Dragon, Gattaca, The Game, Masters of Sex, The Mentalist, Charmed, Seinfeld, Gideons’ Crossing, Star Trek theNext Generation, Picard, and Horizon, an American Saga by Kevin Costner.

PEGGY FLOOD
HAMLET 6 - PEGGY FLOOD (She/Her) Selected Credits, Los Angeles: The Penelopiad and The Birthday Party at City Garage; Death of a Salesman, Macbeth, Rumors, The Crucible, and The Misanthrope. New York: Vinegar Tom and Under Milkwood at Circle in the Square, Dear Charlotte, NY Fringe. She is a founding member of The Miranda Theatre Company in NYC where she both performed and directed. Peggy is also a voice actor and can be heard in hundreds of films and television episodes including Daredevil, Soul, Dark, and Bordertown.

BRIDGET GARWOOD
HAMLET 7 - BRIDGET GARWOOD (She/Her)
Bridget is an actor, writer, and producer attracted to the beautiful bright flame that is Los Angeles. Her film work includes supporting roles in independent features Diminuendo and Haze, available on all major streaming platforms. She also voices the lead in a sex-positive, comedic narrative podcast named "Banging of the Shrew" based upon “Taming of the Shrew,” which you can stream wherever you listen to podcasts. West Coast premieres: “Veils: A Civil Rights Musical,” (Restoration Stage,) Key Change,” (the Collective Studio). LA regional: Kate in Seminar, Pamela/Annabella/Margaret-39 Steps, Gretchen-Boeing, Boeing, Helena-Midsummer Night’s Dream. DC/Baltimore: Lampito-Lysistrata and Calpurnia- Julius Caesar (Chesapeake Shakespeare Company). She has worked as a teaching artist with the Maryland Shakespeare Festival and would like to thank Beyonce for all her love and support.

MICHELLE GREY
POLONIUS - MICHELLE GREY (She/her)
Michelle Grey grew up with a passion for theater in Kansas City, MO and received an MA in Classical Professional acting for the stage from LAMDA in London, UK. Her favorite roles she's had the honor to perform include Brutus, Lady Macbeth and Romeo. When she's not acting, she can be found studying film or herbalism, reading books or working as a software developer.

ALEXANDRA HELLQUIST
HAMLET 4 - ALEXANDRA HELLQUIST (She/They)
Alexandra Hellquist is thrilled to play with Unsex me Here and the brilliant people involved. As the world wrestles with rage, power, and the consequences of action or inaction, Hamlet read by the unlikely and the misfits seems a perfect fit for the times. Multiple award-winner for playing Kelly/Tyler/Counsellor in On The Other Hand We’re Happy (Rogue Machine, LADCC Best Production ’22, LA Times Best Theatre ’22, SR Best Supporting Actor and more), Lillian Gish/Gilda in Unbroken Blossoms (East West Players), Hero in Much Ado (ANW), Desdemona/Bianca in Othello (Griot), Pen in bled for the household truth (Rogue Machine), Nina/Lena/Sandra in Still Life (Rogue Machine). Multiple award-winning co-producer of the world premiere of Kill Shelter (Theatre of Note), including LADCC Best Production of the year and Stage Raw’s Distinguished Production. VICTORIA HOFFMAN
HAMLET 5 - VICTORIA HOFFMAN (She/Her)
Victoria Hoffman is an LA based multi-hyphenate artist and is thrilled and delighted to be a part of this inaugural reading. A "Shakespeare girl" from way back, she recently appeared as Emilia/Dorcas in Tracey Young's adaptation of The Winter's Tale at the Skylight Theatre, as well as with the Troubies as Aunt Leslie in Troubies Home Alone-ly hearts Club Band and as Portia in Julius Weezer. She also wears a Casting Director’s hat, and is the Resident CD at Rogue Machine Theatre. She works extensively in the LA Theatre community, most notably with the Skylight Theatre, Outside In, A Noise Within and more. Currently Manager of Casting at the AFI Conservatory. ZOO HOLSTROM
GUILDENSTERN/SAILOR/DOCTOR/THIRD PLAYER- ZOO HOLSTROM - (They/He)
Zoo is a bartender, a Shakespearean actor, and queer menace. He attended AMDA College and studied sword play with the SAFD. Currently, Zoo hosts and produces Shakes on the Rocks, and has previously performed with Riot Shakespeare, Foolish Shakespeare Co, and House of Bards.
Some of their claims to fame include roadtripping to every Lesbian bar in the US and being greeted with PBR at all of their favorite dives.

JULS HOOVER
HORATIO - JULS HOOVER (She/ Her)
Juls is a Southern California native, a graduate from San Diego State University, and attended the British American Drama Academy. Some of her theatre credits include Julius Caesar, Titus Andronicus, Othello, As You Like It, A Midsummer Night's Dream, King Lear, Anton in Show Business, The Children’s Hour, Twelfth Night, The Lark, and Stop Kiss. Television Credits: NCIS LA, Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development, and Happy Endings. Film credits: Manifest West, Found Family, Jersey Boys and The Sponsor. Coming up in November, she will be starring in Simon Stephens' Heisenberg: The Uncertainty Principle alongside Paul Eiding and directed by Cameron Watson. A big thank you to Emily for leading this beautiful endeavor with undeniable tenacity and grace. It is a privilege to be included in this company of immensely talented humans.

KAT JOHNSTON
HAMLET 9 - KAT JOHNSTON (She/her)
Kat Johnston is an LA-based actor working in indie film and theatre. On-screen credits include The Purgation, Roll, and We Are Love. Kat spent over a decade treading the boards with City Garage Theatre in Santa Monica. Highlights include The Penelopiad, Charles Mee’s Cardenio, and Exit the King. She’s thrilled to be a part of Unsex Me Here's first production and would like to thank Emily and the lovely cast for the chance to play.

LIBBY LETLOW
HAMLET 8 - LIBBY LETLOW (She/her)
Libby Letlow (she/her) has become a Shakespeare staple in Los Angeles performing with companies like Riot Shakespeare, Toil and Trouble Burlesque, the Long Beach Shakespeare Company, and the Electric Company Theatre in Fullerton. Some of her favorite roles have been Lady Macbeth (LBSC), Lady Capulet (ECT), and Richard III (Theatre Anon). Libby is incredibly excited to join Unsex Me Here and work with this amazing roster of talent and some of the hardest working performers she's had the pleasure of knowing throughout her time treading the floorboards.

VERONICA CAREY MATTHEWS
NARRATOR - VERONICA CAREY MATTHEWS (She/Her)
Veronica is thrilled to be a part of this inaugural production of Unsex Me Here. She has been a part of the LA theatre/performance scene for over 15 years, having done stand-up/improv/sketch/theatre in all sorts of capacities and venues but only once getting the chance to do Shakespeare, when she was the understudy (with two performances) as the titular would-be king in Fearless Imp’s 2018 Macbeth (before she transitioned). She hopes to one day play the other side of the coin as Lady Macbeth, and in general hopes everyone enjoys this amazing intrepid endeavor!

AMANDA NORIKO NEWMAN
HAMLET 10 - AMANDA NORIKO NEWMAN (She/They)
Amanda Noriko Newman is excited to be part of this production of Hamlet! They recently performed in A Needless and Wasteful Requirement at this year's Hollywood Fringe, and are an active member of the bar Shakespeare scene, as a regular performer with both Shakes on the Rocks and Riot of the Tipsy Bacchanals. She is a voice actor who can be heard in several indie podcasts, including The Storm Runner, Apollyon, J-Town: A Visual Novel, and Nyctophobia. They are also a fight choreographer whose work has been seen in The Porters of Hellsgate's Edward III, East West Players' Pacific Overtures and The Morgan-Wixson Theatre's The Wild Party among others! Finally, she can be seen every Tuesday on Twitch in the D&D stream Legacy of Fools!

DEBBA ROFHEART
KING - DEBBA ROFHEART (
Debba Rofheart is an LA based actor, born and raised in Long Island, New York, where her mom dragged her to shows in Manhattan, from early childhood. It was there, in Broadway's theaters, that the magic of performing infused her. She earned her BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Florida, but did not pursue acting professionally until after a long indentured servitude as a corporate wage slave. Since her emancipation, she has returned to acting. Theatre is her great love and Shakespeare's works most especially. Favorite roles are, King Cymbeline, with The Porters of Hellsgate; and Peter Quince, in Open Fist Theatre Company's acclaimed production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." She is a proud member of Open Fist, The Vagrancy, and Playground-LA theatre companies. She is delighted to be making her debut with Unsex Me Here Players. Thank you for supporting live theatre!

TAYLOR JACKSON ROSS
HAMLET 2 - TAYLOR JACKSON ROSS (She/her)
Ross spends her time in her hometown of Los Angeles working on stage, voiceover, teaching, and interactive projects. She is a graduate from UC Irvine, and has worked with classical LA theaters like A Noise Within and The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. She is represented by CESD Talent Agency for voiceover, and is a member of the Actor's Equity Association. Previously, she played Brutus in Project Nongenue's all women/femmes version of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. She is proud to join the brilliant artists of Unsex Me Here as they center marginalized voices in classical texts.

ROSENCRANTZ/MESSENGER/SECOND PLAYER/OSRIC - JEN ROWE (She/Her)
Jen Rowe is the founding artistic director of The Theatre Company based in PDX, and a freelance actor/director based in LA. Stage credits include: Distracted, Speech and Debate (ART), A Life (PCS) Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, After the Revolution, Peter and the Starcatcher, Twelfth Night, A Christmas Carol (Portland Playhouse), The Secretaries, Independence, Baltimore Waltz (Profile), Middletown (Third Rail), Oh, The Humanity, Ursula (OSAR/The Performance Lab). Jen's solo show IMGONNAWANNA is currently touring having performed in Portland at the Siren Theater and at Hollywood Fringe 2025. LAERTES - LINDSAY ZANA (She/Her)
Lindsay Zana is an actor, singer and voice over artist with a love of musical theatre and Shakespeare. Some of her favorite roles include Viola(Twelfth Night), Cordelia (King Lear), Perdita (Winter's Tale), and Witch #3 (Macbeth). In her free time, Lindsay serves as a assistant producer for Shakes on the Rocks (Day for Knight Productions) and can be found emoting into a microphone in her apartment, recording for various voice over projects. Emily is an actor and director native to Los Angeles and the Founder and Artistic Director of UnSex Me Here Players. Past Credits include: At City Garage Theatre: The Penelopiad, Odysseus; Largo Desolato, Suzana; Eurydice, Little Stone; Voices of New Belarus, Ensemble. ’Night Mother, Jessie (The Elite Theatre Company), The Pillowman, Ariel (Long Beach Shakespeare Company), Troilus and Cressida, Assistant Director (Ad Astra/ Staring Straight Productions); Think & Imagine Play Festival, multiple roles (Fierce Backbone); Twelfth Night (Southern Bard), King Lear (Radically Miscast- Porters of Hellsgate); Women of Shakespeare (Warriors for Peace); Cat’s Milk Improv Show (Gary Austin). Emily double majored in English and Theatre at Scripps and Pomona Colleges.
